Bidding and Fees

Everything you need to know before you bid.

How Bidding Works

  • Register to bid with your email and a card on file
  • A card hold is placed for the buyer's fee amount when you bid
  • Your bid is a binding commitment to purchase if you win

Buyer's Premium

  • 5% on every vehicle and motorcycle
  • $500 minimum on cars and collections
  • $200 minimum on motorcycles
  • 2% of your buyer's premium is donated by CollectorLanes to one of five pre-selected charities on all auctions
  • You pay nothing extra. CollectorLanes donates from its share of the fee.
  • Please choose your charity when you register to bid. You can change it anytime in your account settings.
  • Example: an $8,000 car costs the buyer $500
